Monday night ended with a beautiful sunset and so I decided to climb Almscliffe Crag on tuesday night in the hope that it too would give up a heavenly display. I climbed to the highest rock despite having a fear of heights and took a number of shots. In the final moments just before the sun vanished, the light shone out and brought out the gritty texture of the stone and the names carved into it, some dating back more than 100 years.
