A really enjoyable day working alongside professional photographers Matt Swift and his assistant Guy in a steel works in South Yorkshire. The photos are going to be used on a new website that I am currently designing and will be launched in the next week or so.

Today has been a productive day. A day of organising and working with people in several countries…a busy day. Click image for larger version.

Some days don’t go to plan and last night I needed to go sit on top of a local landmark and take in the fresh air. Click image for the full shot.

A couple of weeks ago I visited Sutton Bank in North Yorkshire. There was light cloud, but I waited an hour and a half, and was rewarded with a short burst of sunlight. The low light really brings out the forms in the fields below. Click image for the full shot.

Apple launched a number of new products tonight including a new operating system and an updated browser – Safari 4 (free download). It allows you to view 24 favourite/last visited websites at a glance and click on the one you want to launch. It’s a reminder that the internet and how we view it is constantly changing. It’s already common to see people viewing websites on their mobile phones and game machines.

Later this year we will see Typekit which will allow web designers to use a much wider range of fonts, rather than the dozen or so that are built into your browser. There have been other solutions (ie, sIFR) before but generally they slowed the speed of the page download.

The last month has been very busy with a number of design projects on the go. The British Shakespeare Company’s 2009 tour programme has just been printed in time for their first show this friday. I really liked the idea of mixing gold and silver.

For the fourth day in a row I have a 5am start and at 9pm I finally step outside for a short walk, catching the last of the sunlight. Click image for a larger version.
