Started work at 5am this morning, having worked another weekend – so it gets to 6.30pm and I think a walk on a beautiful evening will freshen me up. I obviously got to close to this bird’s nest as it attacked me over and over again. (Reliably informed that it is a Lapwing).

Just finishing the programme cover for Potato Room Player’s production of Buddy the Musical and I get a call to say we are not printing a square programme afterall. The design was based on the square format and wanting it to look like an old 45rpm vinyl record. (I wonder how many of you said “What’s one of them”). There is a good business decision behind the change, so the challenge is how do I modify the above to fit an A5 format? I will post the solution in a couple of days.

I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks because of work, but yesterday I made the most of the weather and toured the Lake District photographing nine of the lakes. Buttermere (above) and Rydal Water (below) are two of the smaller lakes – quieter as most of the tourists head for Ambleside and Windermere – but also prettier like Grasmere, due to their size. Also created a 180° panorama of Bassenthwaite Lake. I came away quite happy with the results, but with a nagging feeling of having taken “happy snaps” – sunny day pictures. What I really like are photographs with atmosphere – where the elements are battling against the landscape. I will have to return when the weather is not so favourable!

When you entered this site your screen will have flickered for one millisecond – you won’t have seen it, but you have just been photographed!

I have recently installed analytical software that tracks exactly where visitors to my website are from (see 25 Jan post). I receive information about monitor size and browser settings that individual people are using to view this site. This got me thinking and by making simple changes to the software coding, I have effectively turned YOUR computer screen into a large camera.

Here are some of the first images that I received yesterday. The quality is not very good, but good enough to see everyone who has visited my site. It must be said, some of you are quite scary!!! I do have the problem of what to do with 11,000 images that I will now receive each month. Any ideas?

I have posted instructions to allow you to install this on your website – see “Comments” at the top of this article.
